We bring a new synergy to the field of dentistry by integrating our professional experience and future vision with our service energy
Missing teeth can cause joint problems in the future, as unbalanced force is transmitted to the jaw joint bilaterally, and causes permanent melting of the non-functional jaw bone.
Various treatment options are available to address this condition. These options; They are divided into three groups: fixed, removable and implant-supported prostheses. “Implants” are metal screws that are placed in the jawbone under local anesthesia, under sterile conditions (in an operating room environment) and imitate tooth roots. They are produced from “pure titanium” and their surface properties are improved (by methods such as acid etching and sandblasting). Under normal circumstances, foreign substances placed in the body are not accepted by the body's immune system and a "foreign body reaction" occurs around the inserted substance. Since titanium is not perceived as a foreign body in the body, a "foreign body reaction" does not occur around it.
Implants are placed in one or two stages, and 1.5 - 3 months after they are placed in the bone, new bone tissue forms around it and fuses with the jawbone. Then, the superstructure is built as previously planned.
In some cases, if the amount of bone available for dental implant surgery is insufficient; The use of some materials to support the jawbone before and during the procedure (grafting with bone or artificial bone alternatives, use of healing membranes and stabilizing devices, sinus floor elevation in the upper jaw, etc.) and additional surgical approaches may be required. In this situation; It should be known that the treatment period may extend to 3-6 months or more, taking into account the physiological healing time of the bone.
The clinical follow-up, personal care and hygiene recommendations given to you after the procedure should be followed. Habits such as smoking, alcohol consumption and various medications you use related to your general health condition; It may limit the success of surgical treatment by negatively affecting the healing of the gums and tissues around the implant.
